How does the warehouse work? When do warehouse movements occur? When are in-stock products posted into and out of inventory?
You must create an order to ensure that products in your warehouse are managed correctly. Products in invoices do not trigger any warehouse movements.
Outgoing goods postings:
|Process in the Sales module||Impact on the warehouse|
|"In-stock products" are added to an order.||The products are reserved in the warehouse.|
|The delivery note is created for the order.||The products are picked in the warehouse.|
|Delivery is performed or the delivery note is marked as "Done".||The products are posted out of the warehouse.|
|The delivery note is deleted or canceled.||The products are put back into the warehouse (reserved).|
Incoming goods postings:
|Process for a purchase order||Impact on the warehouse|
|"In-stock products" are imported to the purchase order||Products are "allocated" in the warehouse.|
|Purchase order is issued (status action)||Products are "ordered" in the warehouse.|
|Status action "Create delivery received"||Selected products will be posted into inventory in accordance with the quantity indicated|
|Status action "Purchase order has been filled - Post to inventory and close"||All products will be posted into inventory.|
|Status action "Purchase order has been filled - Close"||Products will not be posted to inventory.|
|Purchase order is deleted or canceled.||Products are posted back out of inventory if orders are completed.|
Corrective posts can be performed via the "Incoming/outgoing items" function.
